Hey all. Just joined the site after reading it for a few days and its a really good site for a great band. Off to see APFS tonight and have seen the recent setlists for the start of the tour and i'm really looking forward to it.
I love Aussie Floyd. Simple as that lol.

Hey all. Just back and all i can say is what a gig!!!. Ian Cattell really has brought something to APFS and it really completes the experience.

On to the setlist(From what i remember)

Shine On 1-5
Learning To Fly
Money
Us And Them
On The Turning Away
Hey You
Take It Back
Brain Damage/Eclipse

Astronomy Domine
What Do You Want From Me
Nobody Home
Set The Controls
Time
Great Gig
Pigs
Gunners Dream
One Of These Days
Happiest Days Of Our Lives/Bricks 2
Band Members Introductions(By Angus Sawford as Jason called himself lol)
Comfortably Numb

Encore:
Wish You Were Here
Run Like Hell

As you can see it was a great setlist. As soon as the intro to Shine On began, i just knew i was in for something special. At the end of Shine On a picture of Syd was shown which i thought was a great touch. Learning To Fly was brilliant especially the drum intro by Paul Bonney. Money was as good as ever with Mike and Steve giving out great solos. Us And Them was next as the segue on the Dark Side albuim was done perfectly with again Mike playing his heart out. On The Turning Away was outstanding. Longer version was played(6-8 mins i think) with Ian sounding brilliant. Hey You was great especially with Ian's sudden vocal change from David to Roger. Take It Back was brilliant. I only listened to The Division Bell last week and this was played absolutely perfectly. Brain Damage/Eclipse closed the half and was  a great closer. Overall a great half.

Second half began with Astronomy Domine which was played brillantly with Damian and Steve sounding brilliant. Next up was What Do You Want From Me with Ian and the girls sounding exactly like the album version. Set The Controls really changed the atmosphere in my opinion. The didgeridoo used in the intro was a great touch from the band and Colin sang it well. Time was as good as ever with Paul doing a perfect drum intro. Great Gig - one word sums it up - stunning. Pigs was a surprise as i thought Sheep may appear instead but i didn't care as it meant i met Mr Inflatable Pig lol. Gunners Dream was played well with Ian again perfoming his heart out. One Of These Days was brilliant with Skippy paying Glasgow a visit. Bricks was as good as ever. After the inttroductions by Jason(calling the rest of the band Bruce and their surname) followed Numb. Just amazing and Damian playing the solo to perfection complete with disco ball.

Encore was Wish You Were Here and Run Like Hell which were both perfect.

The new lighting show and set provided a great visual experience for me personally. The set vividly reminded me of Pulse in a way.

Sorry for such a long review but it was THAT GOOD lol. Thanks again to APFS for another great night.

Chas, thank you for sharing and am really glad you appreciated  Ian's added value as I was also stunned by his brilliant vocals during the last N-A tour.
