Wow - having seen the Aussies every year, they just keep getting better and better.  I'll leave the full review and set list to other esteemed forum members I had the pleasure of meeting last night (Mr & Mrs Bigdog, PC Hell, Nick).  The new lighting is superb and adds additional ambience and stunning effects to the overall show.  Adding Ian to vocals is inspired and gives extra substance to the songs.  I got the feeling he looked a little awkward standing without his guitar, but on Gunners Dream, Nobody Home and Hey You, he was truely outstanding.  Did Steve Mac have a glitch with his vocal tube thingy during Pigs?

Great night and am now looking forward to a few more shows over the summer

And a pleasure to meet you too skotch, thank you for coming over and introducing yourself. Strange to meet your friend who just lives down the road from me in the next village, its a small world.
I too am holding back on the review as when I shook Nicks hand last night I informed him that by the rules of admin protocol the detail of the gig should be explained by him.
As a loyal forum member I hereby agree in advance with whatsoever he might post(plus I'm lazy. I only managed four hours sleep last night)
What of the show....in short, very very good. The new lights are most effective and give the gig that extra element of lift and spectacle. Congratulations to the designer and operators.
Highlite songs again for me, On The Turning Away then Set The Controls. Ian's voice is just so right ,a great idea to include him on stage in order to enhance the musical perfection displayed by the other members of the band.
Yet again I will say what a super idea it is to have Abdul Bollywood Sawford at the front of the stage so that we are all able to watch him working (you had to be there to understand the significance of that joke)
Hurry up with the review Nick I need to be reminded about how much I enjoyed last night. I know you have the set list but don't forget we didn't hear Sheep last night.......Leicester council own the venue and they seem to enjoy ordering bands that they must be off  by 11-00 pm ??
My final line is dedicated to H. A lady I have met three times now and if you don't mind Helen I'm going to call you my friend and thank you for your help. Stay happy X

Sorry, is this a new thing now?

We have to wait for the most senoir forum member at a gig to post a review?
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)

I just invented it for my own personal convenience.
Its really nice to read review by new forum members but me posting the same euphoric review gig after gig is no real treat for anyone.
Be assured if the band ever fall short I will be first with chapter and verse detail.
