Steve, If I may....
Mike, on my request,  reported earlier on that Gareth had a new toy "Yamaha PM 5D", which I consider  the Cream of the Crop as you would say. This board has built in features for quad, surround sound, you name it, + a whole bunch of built in FX,.You practically eliminate all side stage compressor/gating/limiting/EQ racks, ...
Yes it is ready for Quad and more, only the gear Amps and speakers have to be set for it, maybe we will be seeing this in late N-A coming up in the fall

Thank you Pete ,as helpful as usual
My memory is vague as there was a lot of conversation going on at the time ?! Mike and I plus others were enjoying a pint or five in a pub before the Dublin gig,we had the pleasure of sharing the company of a genuinely nice man ...who may have been a member of the band.
I can recall asking about the possibility of using quad sound. Unfortunately I cant remember the explanation as to why the answer was NO.
Rude of me I fully realise.

Sorry PolarBear and bigdog, I'm a bit behind the game as usual - I've been on Grandad duties.

As I said previously Gareth is a very happy bunny with his new Yamaha. He gave me the impression that its' capabilities were extremely extensive so I'm sure that, as Pierre has most eloquently and knowledgeably described, Quad will come soon.

As far as the discussion in the pub was concerned, I recall being on the fringe of it, but I think Keats was a more active participant than I so I'll ask him if he recalls the answer. If he does I'll let you know.

Am sure Gareth is doing willies on his new Yamaha  ;D, ...seriously, have we got an update on this "chopped" thread...I would definitely would like to see Quad sound, that would definitely enhanced the brilliant show offered this year.

OK, a serious sugesstion.

When I saw Rogers show the pig was a remote controlled pig that had small propeller pods on the bottom that rotated in any direction thus causing the pig to fly around the crowd.

How about making Skippy do the same thing!
