Does anyone have any information about the Aussies sojourn to the States next week?

I don't mean tickets and all that - more like the logistics behind doing it. It's a hell of a long way to go for just 3 gigs. Are these massive venues that they'll be playing? They would need to be wouldn't they, to justify the costs? As alot of us know, there are 2 articulated lorry loads of gear that get shipped from gig to gig for a UK tour. Do you think that they are taking that lot with them next week, and if so how will it get there? Do they fly it in or does it go by sea?

Also, does anyone know how the shows are being promoted with regards to what will be played? Like, is it Dark Side or Wish You Were Here plus a 'compendium of popular other songs' etc. etc. or something new again. Who will be performing I wonder, bearing in mind that Steve Mac and Colin didn't do the NA tour last time around?

The last entry on the news thread on the blue site still says "Happy Easter", so I won't hold my breath for getting any details there, but if anyone on this site has any information it would be appreciated if it could be shared. What about W1P? They'll be in your neck of the woods won't they Dan - have you seen or heard anything locally?

Questions questions always questions ! Don't ask Dan though, he's a bit peeved that the band will be interfering with one of his shows (as pointed out a couple of weeks ago)
            I'm with you though Mike. A bit of an explanation as to what is going on and some of the reasoning behind it,would be very interesting.

I reckon that the purpose of these three gigs is to generate some big media buzz about the N. American tour later this year. Get people fired up and excited about The Australian Pink Floyd Show.

Wish I lived closer to these gigs though.
