So I said to the Mrs...."It's our 30 anniversary this year, lets do something special since we never have done anything for our anniversary." So we chatted about places to go, when and how much etc (all the while I was secretly plotting to get to the UK for an Aussie Floyd gig) So time went by and we slowly got used to the idea of going to England for 3 weeks (This is what I wanted all along) Then, a while later I casually brought up the idea of taking in an Aussie Floyd gig, "I wonder if they are playing anywhere??", I said. "Better go check", she said. So off to the computer I went, all innocent like, and came back with the Dudley Castle gig....."what a surprise, there is one, wow, what luck Maureen....should we go, it would be a shame to miss it since we are there wouldn't it, hey, maybe we could meet up with a few forum friends too?".

The rest my fine Aussie Floyd friends, is history!

I based our trip to Dudley on the same premise. I told my wife, hey there's this fan convention thing one of the guys from the notaussie site is planning in the UK and well, I've never been to Europe and we always talked about going anyway. My wife thought it was a little too convenient but hey, it worked!
