Nobody has mentioned in their reviews of the Liverpool Summer Pop show on Saturday that Mike Kidson did not take the stage to be introduced by Jason, nor did he appear to take part in what has now become the traditional 'group bow' at the end.

The reason for this is that Mike was taken ill and needed some medical assistance. I understand that he is still in hospital under observation and naturally we would all wish him well.

Nobody is more aware of preserving the privacy of the band than me. Furthermore, I think that is true to say that Mike himself is quite a private person. However, having consulted with Nick, I think it would be remiss not to make forum members aware of this situation. I'm sure that Mike would not want anybody making a fuss but he is held in a great deal of affection by many of us and it is my belief that quite a few would want to send him their best wishes for a speedy recovery. It is in this vein that I post.
