Unless an unlikely opportunity presents itself, last night?s show in Rochester was my last for this year. I?ve been to six of the best shows ever, seeing the Aussies affirm their claim to the title of best tribute band in the world, and in my view, one of the best shows in the world full stop. I first saw them in 2002 when the show was much smaller, and they blew me away then. Now words fail me. I hope one day someone with a load of money and very large balls will put them into a stadium so they can attain the sort of commercial success they richly deserve. If 50,000 people saw the show, 50,000 people would go home ecstatic. Somebody must have the vision, ability and resources to make it happen.
It?s a pleasure to be able to help the fan community to meet and exchange information and a privilege to be able to occasionally meet with the band and discuss what they are up to. I hope the show continues for a long time to come.
Now if they?d just like to give me a hundred grand a year to run their web site....
