For the sake of any new forum members and for those that didn't see this earlier. It's also posted in detail in the "Australian Pink Floyd Show" section.

Right, the dear Mrs. and I and two friends will be attending the Dudley Castle show on Sept 1st (barring any unforeseen circumstances) so my Idea is that as many of the forum members and friends of forum members come to this end of summer outdoor show, and we can all meet and have a laugh or two. Some of us here on this forum have been chatting for years with each other....am I the only one who hasn't met most of you??

It's a "relatively" central spot, and it appears that the band and crew will be doing their last gig of the UK summer before they come to Canada and the US again in the fall. The band won't be too tired either because they are not in the middle of a hectic tour schedule.

An Aussie Floyd fan convention of sorts, or would that be a "notaussiefloyd" convention. I think a meet and greet with everyone would be brilliant. An afternoon and a few beers, some fish and chips with like minded AussieFloyd heads. Yep that sounds great!

Looks like we have about 20 forum members and their partners and many friends comming so far! Most of us seem to be staying at the Quality Inn in Dudley, here is their web site.

It looks like a meet up in the afternoon at the Hotel lounge/bar is in order with specials on selected drinks and  two for one meal deals too. Look for a suspicious Kangaroo and/or a cork hat!

We will see you there Bob. I'm really looking forward to seeing you again & of course meeting your foxy lady, Maureen. We will be picking up Scott (skidpuppy) & his good lady at Manchester Airport after his flight from Atlanta and if the flight is on time we are looking to arrive at the Comfort inn about 1 to 2:00pm.

According to the 8,438 train tickets I have for our journey, we will be arriving at Sandwell and Dudley station at errr ...

*checks thousands of tickets ... reservation ... receipt ... this is not a ticket ... return ... ah got it.  Leave Euston at 11.17 ... look up train in National Rail Timetable ...*

I thought we were all staying at the Quality Hotel that Ben suggested and Bob booked first.
I'm obviously mistaken.
