TOPIC: My first TAPFS show coming up soon - camera policy?

My first TAPFS show coming up soon - camera policy? 4 years, 3 months ago #1

I will be seeing TAPFS in Oxford in April. Excited already.. ;D
I was wondering if anybody could tell me what the usual policy is on cameras - for the last few gigs I've been to for other bands, it seems to have OK as long as the flash is turned off, but I'd like to check before I take my nice shiny new digital camera

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Officially there is a no camera policy, so if you turn up with a huge SLR, you'll have trouble getting in. After that it's down to how rigidly the venue enforces it. Most turn a blind eye, as you can see from the photos in the gallery on this site.

Welcome to you.....keep the flash turned off ! No point in drawing attention to yourself. You don't need it anyway.

Ah ha - the message is getting through
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)

At Rochester last year I was standing at the barrier taking photos and I could see the flashes going off. I was looking round for the arsehole responsible when I realised it was me - I had accidentally opened the pop-up flash and carried on shooting.  >
