.....about The Anvil  Basingstoke ? Not a venue that Ive seen anything about before.
Wednesday July 2nd TAPFS  Best of The Wall
Thursday July 3rd      TAPFS Dark Side of the Moon.
I realise that its a new venue in Liverpool and that people may be interested in seeing it and judging its acoustic merits (or lack of ?) but I might feel a little miffed if I lived "down south " and was having to travel all the way up to L'pool and on the way passed close by to Basingstoke.

Ah yes bigdog, but you aren't going to get 'Animals' at Basingstoke, but you will at Liverpool - both musically and from certain elements within the audience if previous years are anything to go by!

What is the significance of The Anvil  in order to warrant a two night engagement is what I was getting at Mike ?
Two nights at the Albert Hall plus two separate nights in Liverpool are quite understandable, public demand for tickets and an above average appreciation of the band by real Floyd fans. Basingstoke ? is it the centre of the Floyd universe (or pretensions so too be ?)

Basingstoke is not so wonderfully far from Beaulieu and after the success of the shows there in past years perhaps those that decide these things are of the opinion that there is sufficient interest to justify the 2 nights at The Anvil. The next nearest venues on the forthcoming tour are at Portsmouth and Bournemouth I think, neither of which is that close to Basingstoke.
