TOPIC: RAH Tuesday 15th April

RAH Tuesday 15th April 4 years, 1 month ago #1

Even better then Monday! I can't quite put my finger on it, but it was another one of those extraordinary shows where everything just blows you away. Setlist same as Monday except we had pork instead of lamb before the interval.

Again, as always, it was a pleasure to meet up with people and to make new friends too. A thoroughly enjoyable couple of days.

Just wanted to say a quick hello after last night's (15th) gig at the Royal Albert Hall. This was the 4th time I've seen the band, the last 3 times were at Manchester on each of the previous 3 UK tours.

I've never managed to get a good view of the visuals previously so this year tried for tickets at the back via the RAH website and ended up................ right at the front!

Put some photos up here, apologies for some of the blurring, I was so close I didn't want to use the flash for intruding on them, and made photos tricky.

They were awesome (once again!)

I went Monday and Tuesday - thoroughly enjoyed both and Tuesday just shaded it for me. A very pleasant surprise to get Pigs instead of Sheep.

Baby Euan took last night off - maybe his PR team don't want too much exposure at this stage?

No RAH DVD available again at the merchandising table, but I emailed CMP and they'll post me one for £15 plus £1.25 P&P.

Here are some photos - apologies if they are a little blurred, but I hope you enjoy them.

What do you guys think is an ideal seat in the RAH? I've sat in boxes, stalls, choir, arena, up the top and can't quite make my mind up. See Lorna's photos in the post on the show on the 14th, I reckon that was a really good spot for a great band with a superb light show - was it Grand Tier?

Row 9 of the stalls. Slightly to the left of Steve Mac's stage position.
The best of both worlds, I could see the band members at work and could also enjoy the lighting effects.
I do concede however, that if you haven't seen the band before it may be a bit too close ?
Ive just noticed my mistake (yet another one) I mean ARENA not stalls.

Hi Liam, I really like the seats we had and it just so happened to be the very same seats as we were in last year! We purposely chose to sit in the seats right at the very back at the very top. This way you get to see and appreciate everything. You don't get the up close and personal touch but do you really want that and miss out on seeing the whole picture? Obviously everyone has their own opinion and we're going to be quite near the front at the pops this year so it'll be nice to see the band from another perspective but for the RAH I'll always get tickets for the same area.
