The Toon being miserable and not behind the band, ouch. I wonder if they avoid Newcastle next year lol

Having seen Aussie Floyd four times now, I have to say this latest show was the best one so far.  Really enjoyed it.

I think the problem is that the stewards don't like people standing up and enjoying themselves >

I was sitting directly behind the mixing desks and had a very good view of the stage.

They'll be back.

Thank you for your reaction wilberforce.
I read on another site that the Newcastle crowd let themselves down and didn't do the band justice. I was just wondering just exactly what that meant.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

Don't normally post on this message board. (just tend to read comments and reviews)
But on this occasion, I hHave to reply to allegations that we Geordies were miserable.
First and foremost, the band were out of this world and this was the sixth time I have seen them (fourth at the Arena).
Highlights for me were Nobody's Home, Pigs and of course Shine on and Comfortably Numb.
As far as the audience was concerned, yes, it's true everyone was sitting down for much of the night but that does not equate to lack of enjoyment or enthusiasm.
The applause the band got throughout was loud and appreciative and as a regular concert goer for many years, matched or even bettered the applause many other bands have received for similarly outstanding gigs.
Hope that puts the matter straight. Roll on Aussie Pink Floyd to Newcastle next year!

Welcome murts, thanks for the post. I have to say that if everyone behaved like me at a show, the band would probably be very disappointed, because I just sit there enjoying the music. It doesn't imply any lack of appreciation or enjoyment.

In fact, the nutters that make the band think they've got a good crowd in probably don't appreciate Floyd half as much.
