Thinking about going to Vegas in October to see TAPF if they come this year.Has anyone been there to see them at this venue and is it worthwhile for me to come down there from Halifax NS on my vacation  to see them if they are there this year?

Hey Joe,

I'm going to see The Cult at The Joint next week.  I'll let you know how the venue is when I return.

Never been to Vegas before... I'm excited!

you will love vegas, the joint is in the hard rock hotel, the cafe is just outside, go into the hotel casino and its on your left at the far end, ive not been in it but have seen the doors, the hotel is a fair way off the strip and in the heat you will need a taxi unless your staying in that area, its at the airport end of the strip outside is a massive guitar and its fun to watch the jets appear to just fly over it as they come into land, i was there last year and missed the aussies by a week, enjoy, dont lose too much.

Oh I plan to behave on the gaming floor (and the Mrs is coming with me)... it's the cost of shows that's going to kill me.  Next week it's The Police at the MGM Grand Friday night, then The Cult at The Joint Saturday night.

Woohoo!

I live in Vegas and have attended well over a dozen shows at the Joint the past 10 years.  From Henley, Bad Company, Motley, most recently Velvet Revolver (one of the last for Weiland and he looked like crap) and The Aussie's show last year.  Beside House of Blues The Joint offers one of the most intimate settings around.  The concert was bit scaled back on effects due to the scale of the stage but overall the show and sound was amazing.  They tend to charge a bit more for tix (high last year was around $75) because of the limited amount of seating.  If they do play there again with same seating arangements I recommend buying the tier 2 seats.  They should run much cheaper and start at the 7th? row.  You're still right near the stage but get a better feel for the show.  Good luck
