I hope a MEGA concert for The Australian Pink Floyd Show is in the planning stages for down the road. BIG BIG BIG venue with huge sponsorship from some rich dude. This show is certainly ready for a stadium show soon. Maybe David Gilmour, Richard Wright and Nick Mason could officially sponsor an event like this, and then hand over the reigns of The Pink Floyd legacy to the Aussies. That would finally put Pink Floyd to bed, and all those fans who are waiting for a reunion tour would finally shut up. Then the original Floyd could concentrate of some "one of" special events for charities etc. This would deflect all the endless speculation about Pink Floyd doing a  new album and a world tour!

What do you think?

I think you've been smokin' that stuff again.  ;D

It's a nice thought. There's no doubt that if you put 50,000 Floyd fans in a stadium and treated them to an Aussies show, they'd go home very happy. It would take a promoter with very large balls to take the risk, though.

dont count your chickens just yet,out of curiosity ive been looking for groups of 8 tickets tickets together for the summer pops and it was quite easy to get them even at the front, unless theres a sudden late surge the arena may only be half full??,I understand your point, why are we all waiting for this reunion that probably wont happen, lets crack on with what we do have, and as good as, if they get the green light to go forward as the best alternative but fully endorsed by the ex floyd players. I suspect this topic is too thought provoking and I certainly could waffle on a bit more but Ill leave the more indepth/serious replys to everyone else.PS,half full for the arena is still 5000,not bad but will it affect the atmos?

I imagine it will be curtained off like other arenas when they're not full.

Problem with that is that they have already sold floor seats at the front so the stage is set so to speak. All seats were on sale when I bought mine. I must admit this is something that I have thought of but it gives us a chance to move to a quieter area if we get lumbered with a load of dickheads close by.
Are we nearly there yet?
