The Anvil?

I heard they hammered out some hits.
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)

This was the best Aussie Floyd concert i have been to. The show started at 7.45 and concluded about 10.50. The second half was astonishing, the Aussies played for nearly 2 hours!
We were treated to Dark Side Of The Moon in the first half, to which Steve remarked that they hadn't played for a while and the standing ovation was richly deserved. Second half was the usual Best Of The Wall but obviously in a different order with an encore of Hey You and Run Like Hell.
I was impressed by the venue. I have never heard the Aussies sound so good. I couldn't spot an empty seat in the 1,400 seat venue. I was in the side balcony and had a great view of the stage. There's just so much going on at once, you don't know where to look! Of course, for some songs you've got 10 fine musicians on stage at once. Damien's guitar work was supreme but for me the star of the show was Paul on the drums. He certainly gives it 110% every time. The effort the boys and girls put into the show is simply briliant. The sound was very loud but you could hear all the instruments clearly. We had a big animation screen and the light show was fantastic but no inflatables.  The crowd really got into it as well, Steve said we were much better than for the previous night and said they had brought their tea and scones with them!
The highlight for me was Pigs. I'll have a go at remembering what was played but i can't remember the order!

Its my first post here, but last night was my 13th show for APFS. First time at the Anvil too, great venue.
The show was excellent as usual. I usually get tickets someway back or in the circle to take in the whole visual experience, but last night we were in row 2, so got a close up look. Band were on top form, and it was great to actually see the concentration and musicianship up close. Standing ovations several times during the show.

Set 1:
Speak To
Breathe
On The Run
Time
Breathe Reprise
The Great Gig In The Sky
Money
Us & Them
Any Colour you Like
Brain Damage
Eclipse
Set 2:
Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 1-5
Learning To Fly
Keep Talking
Set the controls for the heart of the sun
Pigs (3 Different Ones)
Empty Spaces
Young Lust
Wish You Were Here
Nobody Home
Happiest Days Of Our Lives
Another Brick In The Wall Part 2
One Of These Days
(not sure about the order of the previous 6 or so songs either)
Comfortably Numb
Encore:
Hey You
Run Like Hell

No Bruces and Sheilas intros, but a comment that the crowd atmosphere was much better than the first night at the Anvil - he said it must have been the beer being drunk vs tea and scones the previous night. Some very active dancers to the right of stage near the end.
Great long delay during the intro to Run Like Hell, must have been silent on stage for well over a minute - loads of audience participation during the gap!

I really like some of the improvisations that are creeping into the solos in Comfy Numb, Set the Controls, Run Like Hell, Brick, etc...

No lasers or inflatables, but excellent sound, nice set & superb audience - a great night had by all. My kids are true Floyd converts now, this being the 5th time they've been.
