But......the Aussies are as good as the originals and in fact in my opinion (sacrilege I know) are actually better than the originals.
As I've mentioned before, this is because if you are a tribute act you are under no pressure to continue touring, producing new material for record companies or worrying about being considered famous in your own right. Because of this the reviewers tend to go easier on you than if you are the original band - you are only judged on your
performances and not any original stuff you happen to come up with (which, of course, the Aussies don't have to do).
At the same time you
are under pressure to recreate the sound of the original and not some poor copy.
So whilst there is pressure, it is concentrated in other areas - the kind of areas that push you to perform better rather than to fall out with each other and end up in court suing each other.
