Pathetic.....the police are here to do a job not to play political/childish games ?

The court appears to have rejected the application based on the inadequate security personnel being provided by the organisers. It would appear the police were only doing their job by bringing this potential danger to the notice of the magistrates who would then have no option but to refuse the license. I have no way of knowing what has gone on but I am suspicious of the fact that only 150 tickets have been sold. It may be that the organisers were happy to see it scrapped and put the blame elswhere, otherwise they could have just increased the security.

Of course you are right Phil. What a convenient get out for the organisers to blame the police.
  There does seem to have been a heck of a lot of music festivals this year. Perhaps we have reached a saturation point ?

On Monday 18th August 2008 we appeared before Chippenham magistrate’s court where the police successfully convinced the magistrates that the appearance of Pete Doherty at Moonfest was likely to cause public disorder.

ok he may be a drugy but how could he make people cause trouble???
