I bought mine for the Oct 30 show through the Nokia presale also. I needed 5 tickets in a row, so I could only get row J. I tried it with three to see how close I would be, and it gave me row C. Too bad I needed all five tickets. :-\ But, row J will be just fine. The Verizon is a small venue, so the seats will still be great.
Besides, it is good to have a little distance between you and the band to be able to take in the whole light show, etc.
On another note, more people must be turning on to the Aussies, because last year, I missed the presale and still got row B with four tickets. Good for the Aussies, bad for me. :-[

Funny you should mention the "Too Close" thing. I know it to be true.
I got 6 tickets together, and the site tried to give me seats up front. (Sec 102 Row G). I had to keep choosing seats to get further back.
In 2005, We had seats dead center, 5 rows from the stage.
In 2006, we were dead center again, 7 rows from the stage.
Both were too close to the stage. I found myself continually turning my head back and forth, scanning the stage to try and take it all in. It kind of turned into work.
I remember in '05, we were sitting so close to the stage, and across the front on the stage (on the floor) was a line of HUGE woofers. When the lights went out, and the Heartbeat started, we were blown away. Almost literally. We knew it was going to be a great show.. ;D
So...Last year, we moved back a section to 105, on the front row (A). We loved it! Still close enough to see everything, and the added benefit of not having anyone sitting in front of us. We were (And will be again) right beside the control booth. I hope to be able to catch a little of the control action inside the booth. I was too busy watching the show last year to give it much attention.
And you are right about the Verizon being a good venue. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.
But there are some that are better than others...
