Just got back from the Tower Theatre show and it was awesome! Just awesome!  Aussie Floyd really did a great job bringing The Wall to life. Ian did a great job as Pink and the new animation is great!  I can see why they didn't go with Mr. Screen this time because they needed the full animation across the backdrop and also have a large rectangle screen for 'the wall' itself.  They didn't have any inflatables at this show perhaps because the stage isn't big enough.  I remember they didn't have any last year as well.

For The Wall performance, they didn't censor any lyrics and they played the extended versions of few of the songs from the movie and from Roger Water's concert in Berlin.  The new guitarist (I forget his name) also played an extended solo on 'Mother'.  I think my favorite songs of the evening were 'Vera' and 'Waiting for the Worms'.

Set List

Act one
The Wall (side one)

25 minute intermission

Act two
The Wall (side two)

Encore
Shine On
Great Gig in the Sky
Wish You Were Here
One of These Days
(introductions of the band)
Brain Damage
Eclipse

This is my 4th year seeing Australian Pink Floyd and I get more excited each year I see them.  I wish they played 2 nights at the Tower like they did last year so I could see them more than once a year.

Maybe they will make a DVD of their Wall performance at RAH.  *hint* *hint*

Great read iluvhsw, and your review was most enjoyable. Clearly the depth of this band, and their talent and work ethic is enormous. Yet again a new, fresh and stunning Australian Pink Floyd Show hits the mark. Whatever their secret recipe is....it's working. This wall tour is clearly a big winner.

10/10 from the Canadian judge!  ;D

I don't know how everyone else feels ? But I'm more than happy with the setlist as described by our friend iluvhsw. I suppose the encore segment will vary between gigs as the tour progresses ? Thank you for posting your review.

But the question is; did they use Skippy on OOTD?

Hi everyone, its been awile since I posted anything, but I have to share a few of my thoughts on the Tower show.First off,I'm not that big of a fan of The Wall.In fact,I would say its my 7th favorite album from Pink Floyd.Although I do respect its place in history when it comes to the lyrics, some of the music, and the meaning of the piece.Hmm,I don't know.....I would have rather seen them do something else.Anyway, after seeing the Aussie's twice last year, and raving about them,I just could not let this tremendous band come to Philly without being in attendance.I arrived as the band was taking the stage, about 18 rows back almost center stage.5 minutes into the show,it no longer mattered what material they were playing.I was just blown away sitting in amazement and drifting off in a musical bliss.I don't know if this was a perfect concert, but it was pretty dam close. The band was on fire through out the entire show, and I thought the rectangle screen definitely worked especially with the animations. Enough can't be said about all the members of this band. The girls,Ian,Jason,Damian were all tremendous.I really tried to listen to the intros to find out who the drummer and 2nd guitarist were, but to no avail.IT WAS LOUD due to the ovations.Sorry,I have no clue who they were, wish I did because they were fantastic. This is a tour not to be missed. If you like Pink Floyds "The Wall",run, don't walk to buy tickets. And if your not crazy about it,your crazy for not buying tickets.
