I'll admit I'm a bit surprised nobody's posted a review yet, so I'll be the first. The set list was (all from memory--forgive me if I'm missing anything or if something's out of order, as it might be):
The Wall (sets 1 & 2)
Shine On You Crazy Diamond (parts 1-5, I believe)
Learning To Fly
The Great Gig In The Sky
Wish You Were Here
One Of These Days (no Skippy)
Brain Damage
Eclipse
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the performance despite Paul Bonney's absence, although there were a couple of places where the drums were noticeably off (during
The Show Must Go On and
One Of These Days). At one point I saw Ian turn around, look at the drummer, and then shake his head, as it had thrown the whole song off. Still, they quickly recovered and the performance was fantastic overall. Ian fit VERY well into the persona of Pink, and reminded me very much of Roger Waters during his memorable performance of
The Wall in Berlin in 1990, complete with shades and uniform! The new guitarist who was playing with them (can't recall his name off hand, but he was a younger guy) really impressed me as well. He played the parts which would typically have been played by Snowy White, and he played them very well. I'm glad I got to see this show, even though I missed the college football game of the year to see it... That leaves me with just one final question for y'all... (sorry, I just gotta!)
HOW 'BOUT THEM TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS?!??
