This is the 5th Aussie show I've seen and after each one I ask myself "How these guys going to top this next year?" Once again they did. From start to finish they blew my mind. I was wondering if the studio or live version was to be performed and this definitely was the live version (to my delight What Shall We Do Now was squeezed in between ES and YL). The only switch, if anyone catched it, were the female vocals in place of Gilmour's parts during Mother. Just like in RW In the Flesh tour. Having been a bit too young for The Wall shows in LA I'm assuming Ian's performance was mirroring Rogers pretty darn close. He nailed Waters whiney wailing vocals in Don't Leave Me Know. Fricking amazing. I would of sworn either it was pre-recorded audio or that the Man was there himself. Throw in a bit of Geldof during In The Flesh and I couldn't tell who was up there!

A few of the many highlights...Hey You was great with both Ian and Damian. Bonney went off during Days. The girls fantastic during The Trial. Liked the feedback inserted during Vera. Crowd took off during Damian's CN solo. Only a few negatives (sorry but if I didn't post these then this review would be way too gratuitous). The crowd filed in late, talked during most, and continued to leave during lesser known numbers. The chairs inside the Joint are crammed tight bound by plastic ties with about 2 feat in between each row. Someone gets up and guess what....everyone in that row has to stand to accomodate. Audio seemed a bit turned down during 1st half. Few people around me mentioned the same but this was adjusted after intermission. No inflatables (due to size restraints of stage) and the visuals on screen kept getting whitewashed or faded due to the lighting. Was the lighting a bit scaled back due to size of venue? Maybe a little. The Hard Rock must be paying the Boys well because they could easily sell a 5,000 seat venue. Probaly a nice break as well so the crew has more time rigging the next show. Minor things here folks. This was a fantastic show and once again I walked out asking myself "How are these guys to top this next year?"
