Did anyone go to last night's gig in Llandudno? A friend of mine went, so I'm curious to hear what the atmosphere was like. And the second set list, please.
Why don't you ask your friend ;D
Liverpool it wasn't, a very sedate crowd. The venue sucks, sitting on the upper balcony to the left, I could only see half of the screen, you could see that there were a lot of blind spots in this theatre, banks of speakers hanging from the ceiling completely hid half of the performance. As for the drummer, I never even saw him until the end when they all came to the front of the stage to bow.
Ian Cattell did a faithful reproduction of the album (I really do prefer the singing of the other band members) with some decent acting in what is after all a rock musical and musically they were as spot on as usual.
The audience never really came alive until the second set list, I'm sure half of them have never listened to the wall before and were familiar with only several of the albums tracks.
In summary, Llandudno was a mistake and i'm glad i've booked up to see TAPFS in 2 bigger venues where hopefully the visuals and accoustics will match the genius that is The Australian Pink Floyd Show.
