Isn't anyone else going to post a review?

I'll just leave it at ..... same as! same as! - another brilliant show.  Set list as at Brighton. Forgot to mention in my Brighton review, there's a new inflatable for Young Lust (first appeared at Cardiff I think). An 8-10 foot long pair of legs, from the waist down, clad in knickers and stockings, dangling over the girls as they reform centre stage on the raised platform after their 'walkabout'. I didn't know where to look  :-[  (but I managed)  ;D

Oh I did, and it wasn't at the inflatable ;D

Mike - I have been having trouble with days of the week, but I am sure yesterday was Tuesday  ???

I won't write a detailed review because I was slightly distracted having my two youngish kids with me so I could not quite get "in the zone".  (Kids were very well behaved as it turns out, but you just have half a thought to what they might be doing).

There were the usual handful of drunks - thank God I was not sitting too near to them.  Although in general I thought the audience were a little too subdued (can't please me either way!!)

The highlight for me was Comfy and the 2nd half of the Wall "Disc 2" in general.  Not sure if glitter was missing deliberately - I assume so although I recall one year they forgot it at one gig.  Either way it did not detract, perhaps enhanced and it was nice to know that it was not signing the end of the show for a change.

For me, the encore selection didn't quite hit the money - the end of The Wall is so final, its hard to follow it with anything to be honest.  I know it does not fit the format, but perhaps the encore set as Part 1 and the Wall non-stop for part 2, NO encore would work.  It would for me.

On that theme, for those who have forgotten the power of the story The Wall tells, my daughter was "choked up" after act one - not because she didn't like it, but because she was sorry for Pink.  I had explained the basic story (as best I could!!) before she went so they could understand what this "Rock Opera" was all about and she clearly felt the sense of despair that I felt watching the film back in 1983 (that's when I first saw it).  My son (the same age), just grinned from ear to ear at the sound and lights show (its a boy/girl thing!)

I add, both children had "audiophile" earplugs to protect their ears.

Yeah but, no but, yeah but...was 21st a Saturday?
EDIT - ah, beaten to it!

Look forward to seeing those legs at Wembley.
Apparantly a mega party for the gig tonight as Bonney has invited half of Manchester!

It's my age don't you know!!

Where are the moderators when you need one. Please could one of you amend the day of the week in the subject to Tuesday? Cheers

I have to say that I went to the show not expecting to enjoy it as much as usual.  Like many others have said, The Wall is not my favourite album.

Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed the whole show.  The slower tracks seemed a little more bearable than I remembered.  Maybe it was because they were in the context of a complete show.

All the toys were out including the new inflatable legs but minus the glitter ball.  I thought it was especially clever the way that the TV on the stage was synchronised with the large screen animations of the TV on the back wall.  Hope that makes sense.  :-\

I thought Headache's children were trojans.  They were brilliantly behaved despite the volume and the late night.

Looking forward to Wembley now.  Maybe even Basingstoke?  ???
