I was a little surprised and a teeny bit disappointed that last night's show turned out not to be the advertised "Greatest Hits" show, but a performance of The Wall.

Having already seen the full blown Wall show at Cardiff earlier in the year, which was excellent, I was looking forward to an evening of a mixture of songs and not knowing in advance what was going to be played. Still a great show of course, even with a much reduced light show and the absence of some of the theatrical elements of this year's earleir shows.

I've put up a few not very brilliant photos here: http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/3rdday60/AussieFloyd3#

I feel the same way 3rdday. I've just heard the same thing about Leeds on the 27th. It was advertised as Greatest Hits and on the strength of that managed to persuade my wife and a few friends to come (she does not like The Wall). A bit disappointed  :-\ Come on guys, do a mixed set.
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think...

The cmp website has advertised the July shows as 'Wall ' shows and the band are simply performing The Wall in accordance with that. However, the upcoming festival shows in Austria and Holland will be 'Greatest Hits' shows.

Gareth if it's any consolation Mrsfossil is not a big fan of The Wall but she loved the show last night in Liverpool, She is really looking forward to seeing it again on the 1st of August. Me ? I would be delighted to see that show again every year for the rest of my life. The Aussies best show ever in my opinion.
Are we nearly there yet?

Hmmm, that's a shame as I am seeing them in Basingstoke and was looking forward to something else too. I have seen their Wall show 3 times already this year and only booked the ticket as I thought it was going to be a different show

Oh well
