Apologies but I'm just about to dash off to another meeting so I don't have time to post a full review just now but needless to say they played a whole bunch of floyd and they played it pretty damn good as well ! ;D

Anyway, the Grand is a fantastic little venue, one of the old-style theatres with really excellent views - especially in the Dress circle, for once I could actually see Bonney on the drums and not just a hat bobbing up and down. The setlist was the usual rendition of The Wall followed by a standard encore of

SOYCD (1-5)
GGITS
WYWH
OOTD
Brain Damage / Eclipse

I'll pop back later when time permits....

Another fantastic show, another brief chat to Ian and another newbie convert. As Ian said the venue was grand , the view from the front row of the Dress Circle was brilliant (although I couldn't see either Jason or Emily without leaning forward). I've taken my family to The Grand many times for plays and the ballet, but this was my favourite visit by far. It was the first time I'd seen Carl Brunsdon and he was great, playing sax, drums, percussion, backing vocals and acoustic guitars (keyboards?). I particular, I think he nailed the teacher's voice in The Trial.

As others have said on other threads, no Mr Screen, no mirror ball, no lasers and no inflatables. Let's hope they all make a reappearance next tour.

Great to see Ian again. It's a long wait now until next Spring. Can't wait.
The band is just fantastic, that is really what I think...

One thing I've just remembered....

I've never seen this before but after leaving the Grand Theatre I noticed a load of blokes selling rip-off Aussie merchandise ! I couldn't believe it that right outside the front door they were there with their dodgy T Shirts, and I have to say they looked pretty crappy and nothing like the original stuff.

We hung around in front of them for a while whilst waiting for the rest of our party to emerge from the "gods" section and thankfully I didn't see them sell one single item. I like to think that we blocked anyone from seeing them coming out of the theatre

It just goes to show that TAPFS are really a "worldwide phenomena"
Who would have thought that they were famous enough to have their own merchandise ripped off by the scammers.
