Hey everyone....

I am new to the site and wanted to ask your opinion and help.

First off....
I have tickets for the show at the Warner theater in Washington DC Oct 7th....I am bringing my 11 year old daughter who has heard PF most of her life.  I have never been to a TAPFS show before, and wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be "over the top" for her.  She is very mature for her age and has been to see a few concerts, but I wouldn't take her to something that would be out of control.  She is very excited to see the show, and I would love for her to experience this.  So the question is, would you bring your (11 year old) daughter to the show?

Secondly, is there a set list thats available for the Big Pink Tour?  I wanted to let her listen to those specific songs before going....

Welcome to the forum, Don. We have several members who take their kids and even their grandkids to Aussie's gigs. It's a very family friendly show, I'm sure she will love it. No set list yet, sorry, but we do know that most of the songs will be from DSOTM, WYWH, Animals and The Wall.

Enjoy the show, and please come back with a review.

"Over the top" ?  Not the remotest chance of that Don.
      There is of course the obvious volume consideration to bear in mind for an 11 year old though
    Enjoy the gig when it comes around.

The Tour starts tonite in Calgary, just keep on reading on here as someone will likely to post a review along with setlist.

Of course Nick and Big Dog are absolutely right, it is a totally family friendly show, and the show will be filled with great music! As a father myself I understand why you ask this question, but put your mind at easy and don't hesitate to go. The sound volume is fat but never over the top, and unless you are sitting really close to the speakers it shouldn't be a problem. Floyd music is never overwhelming in volume anyway. Post a review afterward Don!

Thats exactly what I was hoping to hear....we are going to load up the CD changer and get her ramped up.  She is familiar with the Wall, Animals, and DSOTM, but I need to turn her onto WYWH....

I am very excited, as is she, to experience this....and not to bad mouth the current typical concert scene, I think she will be amazed at what a show like this will bring.  I will bring some ear plugs just in case the DB is too much for her.  If they will allow camera's I will take some shots and post a review....
