TOPIC: Seattle

Seattle 2 years, 8 months ago #1

A great show with a few lighting screw ups. I'd really appreciate a set list!

I have some crappy cell phone pictures, but I can't figure out how to post them...

is anybody out there? Any set lists? Please - I am also looking to see if they had lazers and inflatables as promised - The hype on the TPFS fan site there would be more than ever.  I've seen them 4 times and don't to be disappointed. Bob's review from Vancouver was not very encouraging.

No lasers this time - The Wall had lots of green lasers, plus the inflatable roo - which is also missing.

They used video of a roo changing LPs to show which album they were playing songs from. This was consistent though the first half. I missed the very start of the second half, but initially it was a mix of songs from different albums, then we had the video of the roo getting The Wall out for the last part of the second half.

The music was good - as always. The girls were excellent in Great Gig - they split the solo between two of them. And Damien, when singing a Gilmour part, seemed much closer than in the past - I really missed Steve Mac, but now I think that Damien has it down...

Well MAD MARK I can assure you my fun and enjoyment at the show was really high. I enjoyed this show immensely, and frankly I didn't miss the lasers or inflatables. But you are right in saying that the advertising does mention them for this show. The music was very well played and presented, and the whole concert seemed cohesive. This is not easy to achieve when you are playing sections from many different Floyd "concept" albums. But the animations do tie everything together, and there is a reoccurring theme throughout the show that draws you in and makes you laugh , smile and get excited with the anticipation of wondering........what's coming next.  The audience reaction to this was really fun to watch.....folks loved it! I would love to see the show again to take in more detail because as you know, an Australian Pink Floyd Show works on the audience through many layers, music and sounds, lights and lighting effects, smoke and mirrors LOL and of course lyrics and the mood all of the above combined instill into the watcher. It's very multi sensory, as was a Pink Floyd show. It's trippppppyyyy LOL. It's too much for me to take in in one viewing. I'd love to see the animations again and the way things are synchronized together. It's bloody well though out. There has been a lot of thought put into these Australian Pink Floyd Shows. Every year they continue to be slightly different and I have yet to be disappointed. They have really earned my trust.

I dig it  ;D
