Anyone have a clue how tight security has been at the 2009 NA shows?  I've been thinking I might make a memoir, if possible.  My seats are going to be rear center floor, and my recording equipment might be concealable actually...

As always mihalis, each venue has a slightly different enforcement level and tolerance level. Never use a flash or obvious video recording devices, as they may be taken and returned after the show. Some places seem totally tolerant, some not. There is an announcement at the start of the show banning use of flash and video recording devices. Be really discrete and play it by ear.

Whatever you get, make sure you post a link to here so we can see too!

most venues will allow standard point and shoot digital cameras. My best advice is to get one that has video mode built in i have had some luck with taking decent video at a few concerts i have been to. I am going to saint louis tomorow i called today they are allowing digital cameras in so i will take mine in and post to you tube for all you

Hard Rock's security team in Orlando sucks.  They won't let you in there with a digital camera.  You have to go through a metal detector just to get in (no matter who is playing).

Hell, I got kicked out of there several month's back for taking pictures (and some quick video shots) with my camera phone!  Really!  I couldn't believe it.....has anyone taken good shots with a camera phone that you're ready to mass produce and sell on the black market?  THEY ARE SOME ARRAGANT (FILL IN BLANK HERE) SECURITY GUARDS).  You can probably get one in if you have a female with a deep purse, but guys can forget about it.

By the way, the show I was kicked out of was SPINAL TAP.  Actually, isn't that the ONLY proper way to leave a Spinal Tap show?  I was honored (even though the entire audience was staring at me at the YELLOW MEN WITH FLASHLIGHTS escorted me out.  The security team waited until there were about 3 songs left to do it.

After seeing over 300 shows/bands, this was the first time I've ever been kicked out of a show (it was pretty awesome).
