The band strated right at 8 p.m. -- something you never do in LA because of all the late arrivals.  This could explain why the band and the audience were much more energized by the second set than that "greatest hits" first set.  Best visual of the night -- the words to the "prayer" in Sheep (which seems to be inspired by Roger's Leaving Beruit visual).  I did like the idea of the Kangaroo picking out vinyl albums to play as an intro to songs from those albums (although I would lose the kangaroo, but that's just me).  I could have sworn that Ian sang "sailed on a steel breeze" instead of "rode on a steel breeze" during Shine On.  I was most impressed by Astronomy, Gunner's Dream, and Set the Controls -- absolutely sublime.  Once again, Take It Back was great -- a song I don't like except when the Aussie's play it!  My only "criticism" (which I expressed directly to the band after the show) is based on personal preference -- if it were me, I would not use the female vocalists as much as TAPFS does.  It's not that they are bad singers -- far from it -- I just think they lighten the mood of some of the darker songs (examples, Machine, Pigs).  But again, that's just my preference and it certainly didn't ruin the show in any way.  I'm very jealous of the Aussie's playing the Nokia Theater -- what a great space for them, their music and their visuals!  At least they invited me back stage after the show so I could feel a little bit what it would be like to play that room!

I don't think they played that rare Pink Floyd piece

But it's a bit of a holy grail in the Floyd catalog  ;D
