TOPIC: St.Louis Show

St.Louis Show 2 years, 7 months ago #1

I have to say after seeing the band 9 times...this time was very disappointing  >
Hardly any lasers, no inflatables, and the girls were the only ones that were on top form last nite... What happened boys?? After technical difficulties we ended up getting up and walking out. Did anyone else think they were a little off last nite???

Well it is a live show and accidents are bound to happen. It ended up continuing very nicely. Too bad you did not stay.

Oh I agree totally about things can happen but wow they just weren't on top form. Something was up with Ian's bass, and Bobby seemed like he wasn't in time with everyone. Ian had a few shaky voice moments where if he couldn't hit the high notes he just kinda trailed off. Since seeing them like 8 or 9 times this just wasn't the one for me. They are incredible when they are on! Plus, i think the Fox is a much better venue for them to play at. Better sound quality and just the Fox is beautiful. It seemed like the venue sold most tickets on the sides and floor A LOT of empty middle seats and a lot of empty seats in general. Thumbs up for the girls..they always rock it!

Wow...What were the difficulties and when did they happen?

It's hard to imagine being so frustrated as to eat my $65 pp tickets and walk out on the show, and I'm sorry that happened at your St. Louis show.

I've sung TAPFS' praises and recruited a group of 10 folks (who have never seen or heard of TAPFS) to go to the concert here in Tampa.  This review and some of the others makes me wonder about whether the current TAPFS tour has become a "tribute band to a PF tribute band"....;  most reviews have been positive, however, and I'm looking forward to the 10/9 concert here to let my own ears and eyes be the judge.

Cheers!

There were some lighting issues towards the end of the 2nd half. Nothing major I don't think, but at that point we were all tired and said let's go. I have sung their praises also. I took my sisternlaw for the first time and all she ever heard was us really talking up the aussies and she was a bit confused after the show! Just cos the show wasn't on doesn't mean they are bad, just means they had an off show It happens!
