I'm very impressed Uncle P, that is some trip. Looking forward to your review.
Are we nearly there yet?

He did well giving his nurse the slip to get away for that long.

I managed to make it to both the Clearwater and Orlando concerts this year.  Not planning on a detailed review.  I have to say both concerts were awesome but I enjoyed the Orlando one much more.

Some random thoughts and comments:

- There were I think 5 songs that were different between the Clearwater and Orlando concerts which made it really cool to be at both of them.  In the first half the Animals set was totally different (which included Sheep in Orlando, my favorite).  In the second half they played Money and Fletcher Memorial in Orlando and I think one other song that was different from the Clearwater gig.  Just so happens these are amongst my favorites so that helped push the Orlando gig up a notch for me.

- In the Clearwater concert I was sitting at the end of a row and there was an endless stream of people coming and going (just one couple left for drink 4 times in the first half!).  Needless to say the constant getting up and sitting down really messes with something like Shine On... where you want to just want to loose yourself in the music.

- In Orlando we were in the front row balcony.  The setup was so that nobody ever passed in front of us.  It made a world of difference.  I was lost in the music all night.

- The light show was pretty awesome.  Both concerts had mirror ball.  No inflatables in Orlando (smaller venue).  But I still think the light show from two years ago with Mr. Screen and the arched backdrop was the best.  But no complaints, it didn't seem like they were skimping or anything like that.  The only thing I would say is that in those parts of some songs where they wanted to "kick it up a notch" (I'm sure those of you who have seen their concerts know what I mean) they didn't have as strong an arsenal to work with.

Anyway those are some of my thoughts.  I've been to 5 TAPFS concerts so far and I would say that for me this year's Orlando concert was probably the best Aussie Floyd concert I've been to.  The choice of songs and musicianship was pretty close to perfect as one can hope for.

Now I have to wait a year......

I would certainly hope I'm not sitting anywhere near you when you "loose yourself" at a show.  Adult incontinence is a serious issue, but I guess it "depends" on what you ate the day before.  :G
OOOoooh myyyy...

I knew I should have worded that differently!    Dammit now I've lost all credibility!
