Hello All...
Caught the Aussies in Canton OH, last night. I thought that they were very good...ALL OF THEM. (Ola & Amy are just so HOT!). These guys have talent! You gotta see them more than just once!
This was my 2nd TAPFS experience, so it was a lot of fun knowing "what" was coming next, too...and seeing the crowd "not noticing" Skippy being readied, the mirrored ball dropping down, etc. Of course, I caught the mirrored ball, as soon as it started it's descent. It was so cool watching the crowd get totally blown away when they "fired it off". That's such a GREAT effect. It lit up the ENTIRE gym! The lighting again overall, just blows me away, too. (I did stage lighting, years ago. My, how things have changed!)
I will say this though, and I figure that to the "veteran" concert-goers here, this is obvious: the venue definitely makes a BIG difference.
The show at The Benedum, in Pittsburgh, was far more impressive. The Canton show was in a "multi-purpose" venue. We actually sat in fold-up chairs, on a gymnasium floor and we were too far away. The acoustics were far from ideal, too.
I want to say to anyone that's not seen them yet: If you REALLY want to see a "good" show, try to catch them in a theater type surrounding.
I'd go see them again tomorrow!
