Hello all

It's been a few years seens I've seen the Aussies in action. I've seen them a number of times in the past when they visited Salisbury, but always seem to have missed out for various reasons now they've grown and have started doing the larger venues.

Well, not this year!!

And it's a family affair too. Me and the missus have been Floyd fans for gawd knows how many years now, but this time we've decided to bring our daughters too. They're 10 and 8 years old and it'll be the first concert of this size that they've ever seen.

Our ten year old is learning to play the guitar and can nearly play Wish You Were Here already so I know she's gonna love it. Hopefully the visual effects and the atmosphere will be more than enough to entertain the 8 year old too! Saying that, she'll be happy if they play Hey You because the "naked by the phone" line makes her giggle!

It was something we hoped would happen at some point this year, and the fact that the O2 show wasn't on a "school night" nakes it even better.

Here's hoping for a good show anyway  ;D

I believe that you will be stunned by what a fantastic show you will see steve, also in my humble opinion the 02 arena is the best indoor venue bar none.

Thanks Nick, they were amazing enough when I saw them in Salisbury's City Hall a few years in a row, so can only imagine things have got better. Really looking forward to it already.

Chiefbat, I saw Green Day at the O2 in October. That was the first time I had been there, but yes, I'd agree it's a fantastic indoor venue.

Not sure about the review though, I'm no journalist and I'll probably forget what order the songs were in as I tend to get completely lost in the moment whenever I listen to (or watch) anything Floyd. Hey maybe I should get my ten year old girl to write a review instead. SHe was destined to like Floyd I think, her name's Emily (yeah, named after See Emily Play )

I've been lucky enough to see the real Floyd a couple of times in the past (1987 Wembley Stadium and 1994 Earls Court). TAPFS is the closest thing we have now I know, so the anticipation is as big as the "real thing" for me

Your Humble Opinion is spot on there Tony, the atmousphere you get from walking round the many diner's only add's to the fantastic 360 degree Panoramic sound system inside the Arena.
Enjoy the Gig Steve there are no one better than the Aussie's
