Really enjoyed the concert as normal but was a little dissapointed compared to previous years. I think Careful with that Axe Eugene spoiled it, as well as a couple of others in the middle set. Personally, I think it is an awful "song". Animals is not my favourite album either. I agree they have to cater for a wide audience and perhaps I've been lucky in recent years, especially with the Wall last year (my favourite). As normal, I shed a tear with emotion at Great Gig in the Sky and I thought some of the new graphics were really good and fun (the Kangaroo sat in his room selecting which Floyd album to play next).
I'm going to Birminham in a couple of weeks and, if it's likely to be the same setlist, I'll be taking the wife to the Bar when Careful comes on and the screaming starts.

Still my favourite band which I hope to continue to see twice a year at least and great to hear some of my favourites again.

Each to their own..great thing about Pink Floyd is right from the 60's onwards a wide range of music and styles reflecting their musical journey and can cater for lots of folks tastes. Personally, Animals is my favourite album and seeing in played in it's entirety a few years ago was something else. I'll take about 6 songs from the Wall that are excellent and was super delighted a few years ago to see CWTAE played. Totally blown away by the music and the light show which took it to another level IMHO. Of course, a few pints in advance does help to get into the mood! I still haven't been lucky enough to see them play Echoes..don't reckon I'll get the chance on this tour either :-X Few more from Delicate Sound of Thunder wound't go amiss either..oh and if anyone has any influence with the band...Shine on (Parts VI–IX) please!! Roll on Dublin next week now that european air-space is currently open!!

from the south wales argus

THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD opened their UK tour in Cardiff with a fantastic performance. The sound quality, attention to detail and the precision of the musicians was a fitting tribute to the great British band.

The performance was graced with a number of stand out songs: the female vocals on 'The Great Gig in The Sky' were absolutely amazing. Every song was played with a passion; the saxophone on 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' and especially 'Us & Them' sent a shiver up my spine. The guitar solos on 'Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)' and 'Comfortably Numb' almost took my breath away.

By the time the encore had finished and the band had taken their bow, three hours had passed by.

It is little wonder that they have played to over three million fans worldwide. They are genuinely talented musicians, playing the fantastic music of the legendary Pink Floyd, they may be a tribute band, but they are probably the best tribute band in the world.
