Hey folks
Got an email from Nick today, as I'm sure you all did, trying to drum up some business for the site.
Kinda sad he had to do that, but I hope it provokes a good response.
I'm sure none of you will remember, but I signed off late last year as I was taking an extended break to visit Western Australia in general, and my brother in particular.
Well, I extended my extended break, and long story short, my next visit there might be a 1-way ticket. yeah, I liked it!
Anyway, all that meant I missed this years tour. Normally, that would have bothered me greatly, but in all honesty, there was "the best of the wall" tour, followed by "The Wall" tour, followed by the "greatest hits" tour (with large chunks of Wall) , and maybe I'd hit my own Wall,....was a bit walled out.
But having come back here today & read lots of reviews, it does seem like I missed a really good tour. Of course it was a good tour, the guys have never left me disappointed. So I'm sure that you've all seen some great shows, sorry I missed a chance to meet some of you.
One other thing to tell - I met some real muso heads in Oz, but none of them had even heard of our heroes!! I showed them the dvd, told them about the gigs, and they were really impressed, but disappointed that the lads never made it home for a tour.
I told them Qantas would have to up the free baggage allowance a bit to make that possible!
It's nice to be back, hopefully many more will re-visit the site & make it the busy place it should be. Personally, I'll do my best to get back here more often & share some info, opinions & good times with you like-minded Aussie Floyd fans!
