Is it just me who is confused?

So, if I understand everything correctly, there has been a split, amicable or otherwise.  Steve, Jason, Colin & Bonney are keeping The Australian Pink Floyd Show name, but they are leaving CMP.  No tour dates announced for TAPFS.

CMP has created The British Pink Floyd Show, hiring everyone else who was previously involved in recent TAPFS tours (Damian, Ian, et al... basically the TAPFS NA tour line-up) and they are already scheduling tours dates.  TBPFS will tour with new graphics, inflatables, etc.

CMP has also created the Australian Classic Rock Show, featuring (more or less) the same personnel line-up as The British Pink Floyd Show.... but doing more classic rock music than just PF tunes.

Does that seem to sum it up?!!!???

Yeah very confusing, still don't understand why The Australian Classic Rock Show is called that when I believe it should be called The British Classic Rock Show. Plus wondering what Fall North American Tour line up will include. Hopefully Steve, Colin and Jason.

What set TAPFS apart for me was the fact that they have transcended the "tribute band" stigma by a country mile. They set the bar higher than anyone I have ever seen. Their attention to detail is what made them such a success, as well as their hard work ethic, and of course their amazing talent. They were true visionary leaders. All those years of perfecting their product was outstanding in my view.......... absolutely brilliant.

I never felt that TAPFS had peaked yet....I always thought, that a stadium show was in their future.

I feel heartbroken.

It looks to me like a classic "divide and conquer".

Sometimes business can be very very ugly.

I've been reflecting on it all, and it occurs to me that there will be little change for North American audiences.  I haven't laid eyes on Steve or Colin in years... then there has been no Jason or Bonney.  Damian has been the only "constant" and it appears as if he will remain.  Still, I am stunned by the news.

I must say that last year's Halifax TAPFS performance was the worst of the lot.  There were moments of brilliance, but it was mostly mundane.  Maybe I was just in a bad mood, or maybe it was because Halifax was the last show of a long NA tour and it was just before Christmas... and everyone wanted to just get it over with and go home.

Am I reading this correctly?  Are you saying that Ian is no longer part of the band?  To me, he was the missing link to the show (incredible vocals). 

Does anyone know what the band line-up will be for the North American Tour?
