This was my third year in a row at the show...and...I hate to say it...the show was just fantastic...but, by the way...which one's Pink?  Was it Aussie Floyd or British Floyd finishing up some tour dates under the Aussie Floyd banner?  However...a few people in the section where I was sitting were all agreeing that the show just seemed to lack the energy of the last few.  It doesn't mean it wasn't a great show by any means.  It just seemed to be missing something.  Maybe "aggressiveness" for lack of a better word.  Maybe it was just too soon after seeing Roger Waters do The Wall.  I'd be interested in hearing some other opinions about the show.

Pretty much the identical band that's toured N. America the last three years counting this one besides Rob Stringer (keys) isn't here this time as he and his wife just had a baby.

This was the fourth time me and my son seen the band since they put Pittsburgh on their tour dates and I have to say this was the least enthusiastic show I ever witnessed from the band. I would also add that there were several instances of musical mistakes but in my opinion that is minor compared to whoever was their sound board person. I said to my son and the people around us were in much agreement that their microphones were pitched way to high, which ultimately drowned out the music. The vocals were not good at all and it really took something away from the show. During the female vocals on Great Gig you could not even get a balanced sound, which of course took away everything from that great song.

Now some of the highlights, the best reception for any of the songs was during anything from Animals and Wish You Were Here. Pittsburgh Floyd fans have a deep love for both of these pieces of work and I still say today that if the band would do a show with just these 2 albums they would be treated as gods. I really enjoyed the lighting even though it is their basic set I still love the mix of colors and angles.

All in all I think we fans got our yearly fix of Floyd and tonight I know many people who are first timers going to see the show, which starts in about 15 minutes.

For whatever reason...Pittsburgh loves anything Pink Floyd.  I'm half afraid to see The Machine because I don't think it could ever compare to TAPFS.  Still...like you said, and like a few on the way out...something was just missing.

A very big bright spot...I had my best seats ever.  Floor doesn't mean best.  I had 12th row floor for The Wall show and last year I had balcony which was soooo much better.  This year I had center balcony and I saw everything.  Fantastic.

I am an old Stanley Theater (now Benedum) fan from way back into the 70's and the you have to pick your poison with seating and for specific shows. For the Aussie Floyd shows nothing but the balcony all 4 times, 1981 Genesis Duke tour show floor seating dead center any row from "J" back, 1980 Ozzy show we scored front row dead center orchestra pit seats, big mistake.  To this day I still think that I have hearing issues because of the 20 Marshall amps that Randy Rhodes used for such a small venue.

I am a big fan of the Benedums balcony especially the front directors seating.
