TOPIC: In The Flesh (UK Version!)

Spent a very pleasant evening last night in Plymouth, at a gig featuring this new (to me) Floyd band, they are based down here in the south west, but are touring the country and have major ggs with laser show at Glasgow and Nottingham among others. Interesting line up, one guy on lead vocals, Keyboards, and Guitar - busy, and a sax player who does quite a bit of the synth work using a electronic wind instrument, also lead guitarist, bass player , drummer and 2 female backing singers.

well worth catching if they come your way, exceeded my expectations by a country mile, a great warm up for th Aussies in Plymouth in April.

In the Flesh is managed by Glen Povey, who runs Brain Damage, and who originally promoted the Aussies in the UK before they moved to CMP.

They are playing locally next month, I may check them out - but having just seen the Aussies perform The Wall, the bar is extremely high!

Thats my problem also Tim.
Mrs bigdog has agreed to accompany me to Lutterworth this Friday night to take a look at a band calling themselves The Dark Side of the Wall.
I feel though that I wont be in the mood to be generous and understanding toward them having just been so impressed by the excellence of the Aussies show. I'm going to change my mind and go to the local pub instead.....I know that I'll enjoy that more.
