You're going to love this or hate it!

From their MySpace:

Through the crucible of a pioneering, improvisational/blues collaboration by an eclectic mix of acclaimed, contemporary musicians - BLUE FLOYD endeavors to deconstruct the classic compositions of the legendary PINK FLOYD, into their primal, elemental form. As much an homage to the influence of Howlin’ Wolf, Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters as a re-discovery of both FLOYD classics and rarities, BLUE FLOYD plays iconoclastically familiar songs, heard again as if for the first time. "Begins" - features the original line-up of: ALLEN WOODY (bass with GOV’T MULE & ALLMAN BROS. BAND) MATT ABTS (drums with GOV’T MULE & DICKEY BETTS) MARC FORD (guitar with THE BLACK CROWES) JOHNNY NEEL (keyboards with THE ALLMAN BROS.) BERRY OAKLEY (bass & vocals with ROBBY KRIEGER, BLOODLINE)

This sounds to me like a very subtle dig at bands who put their own spin on Floyd tracks, including a certain Antipodean group.

It also makes them sound like arses.

And having just listened to the tunes on that page I have to say that it's not exactly "elemental" is it?  They sound even worse than a very bad Floyd covers band.  And those vocals are terrible.

You were right Nick - you either love it or hate it.

It takes a bit of getting used to, but I'm loving it.
