This is my very-once-in-a-while-more-like-once-every-couple-years "shout out" to all of you who have been so kind as to get on our e-list.

T H R E E  F R I E N D S:

You folks in Europe have had quite a treat lately, with Three Friends playing shows on your side of the ocean. More power to them!

Gary Green lives about an hour from my front door here in Illinois. I sure hope they play around Chicago sometime. If they need players, I happen to know a few!

So, that is wonderful news; A Gentle Giant reunion, at least in part. See their performances on YouTube, if you've not seem 'em live.


U P C O M I N G  S H O W S:

We've got a couple of shows (yep, we can't believe it either) coming up in July.

On Friday evening, July 17th, we'll be at the famed Shank Hall in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The next Saturday night, July 25th, we'll be at The House of Brews in Oak Forrest, Illinois. (playing with Tull tribute Silver Pipe, just back from ROSFest).

U P D A T E D  W E B S I T E:

At long last, we've updated up the website, (as above): gendesigiant.com. Last done in 2007, I think. Time flies.

If you stop by, please be patient whilst downloading content, especially the Band page. Its a big ol' Flash thing. We'll work on making that more "download friendly".

Anyway, the band as it stands in 2009 is represented. We'll be working on saving pics from the old site too, probably moving them to the MySpace site.

We sure hope some of you can come to our Wisconsin and/or Illinois shows in July. Please come up and introduce yourself if you can, it would be great to meet face to face.

If you know a place or event we could play near you, send me the info (email below) and I'll get it to our management. If we can make it happen, we will.

Well I for one am a fan and had most of their albums on vinyl, alas they have not been replaced (yet!).

This topic prompted me to give Octopus another listen. It's got it's moments, but I think you'd have to be chemically enhanced to get through it all. Way too much pseudo-intellectual twiddling for my taste.
