Following on from his mauling of Valerie (Call on Me - the one with the saucy video), Eric Prydz has done the deed on Another Brick II.
I don't know if it will be released as a single, but I heard it in HMV - apparantly it is a track on a new Ministry of Sound CD.

oh dear.

i saw him live, hes playing on sat too with Tiesto, i have a soft spot for him as i used to like my dance music and he plays a lot of older dance stuff which i was into at the time, a bit like memory lane! haha  ;D but oh god not floyd remixed! i have a version of ABITW by alice in chains which is very dark and dreary!
Guitar playing, Gilmour loving, psychological, philosophical individual

I did a search on the "Eric Prydz" version and found this Another Brick

From the site it says it has been officially approved

This is the first time a Pink Floyd record has ever officially been cleared. Lacing David Gilmour?s caliginous vocals with an immense electro bassline, Prydz builds on the epic nature of the original, moulding it into a bouncy slice of crossover brilliance. Using both the original vocal and other musical elements of the 1979 hit, the Swedish house don gives a respectful nod to the anti-establishment aesthetics of the record, while perfectly bringing it up to date, giving it a new lease of life for another assault on the charts.

My opinion is that is a better cover than the Scissor Sisters version of "Comfy Numb", but dont expect it to be a completely faithful version of the original.

You can hear it on the MoS website, if I find the link again I'll post it later. I
n my opinion it's utter crap (although I do like some of his other work).

On the bright side though, let's hope the video is of the usual "quality and theme"  ;D

Having worked in nightclubs and at raves, I used to be a huge listener of dance music.  However, I find this remix very uninspiring.

They should have let Oakenfold, Digweed, Tenaglia or even Fat Boy Slim have a go.
