I'm devastated, I get to Birmingham International train station to go to London to see the David Gilmour premier, meet up with Sue, Neil, Lorna and Ben....and just as I get down to the right platform....we get evacuated out of the station due to a suspect package found. The fairly large crowd of us were herded out into a parking lot where we were then taken to another parking lot. We were not allowed to leave and had to stay put. The situation was escalating in intensity even after an hr. Finally after about an hr and a half we were sent to the airport terminal where no help for our travel plans could be found. People were left floundering. The police, armed guards, bomb sniffing dogs and loads of police tape had the place shut down solid...................so I couldn't get to see my forum pals and the David Gilmour show. These things happen when you travel, and the unexpected things can change plans at the last minute. I've been through these dissapointments before and bounce back OK. But come on folks, this was a forum meet up and DAVID GILMOUR IN PERSON with seats in about the 10th row. It's going to take years of psychological counselling to get over this! (mutters under breath).

Hope you all had a good time and that you put in a good word for me to David himself! Sorry I missed you all, but there was nothing I could have done to change the outcome.

I heard that Roger Waters has been Arrested on suspicion of attempting to interfere with a David Gilmour premier.

What a bummer Bob. I really am disappointed for you.

Wow, that RANKS up there with one of the worst stories I've heard.  I missed 1/2 of Roger's show in Indiana in 1999 because of a plane delay in Chicago but that's nothing compared to this  YUK :-

Hi Bob, sorry to have missed you last night, I was in row H and there were some empty seat right behind me - I'm guessing they could have been yours. You missed a good evening.
