So, today was the US/Canada premier of the Remember That Night DVD. I got to the theatre 15 minutes late because I went to the wrong damn theatre! Now at the right place, I walked in while The Blue was playing so I have no idea what Dave opened with. I guess they played a little over an hours worth of the concert. What I remember them playing was; The Blue, Take A Breath, Arnold Lane, SOYCD, Breath, Time, Breathe reprise, Wish You Were Here, and ending with Echoes which was spectacular! This was followed by live via satellite Q&A session with Phil Manzanera and David which lasted 30 minutes or so. They both clearly were having fun although Dave kept his hand on his chin almost the whole time like he was a little uncomfortable. One question that was asked was, ?if you could pick one song for each decade since Pink Floyd started, what are your favorites?? Dave answered, in the 60?s, Fat Old Sun, the 70?s SOYCD, the 80?s Sorrow, the 90?s High Hopes and 00?s The Blue.
We then watched the prerecorded OAI jam session that they played at the London premier followed by the last half hours worth of the DVD behind the scenes stuff. I can?t wait for Tuesday when the DVD goes on sale here! It's ironic that Terri and I just took a tour of RAH while we were in London a week and a half ago so that was fun being where the DVD was recorded. Finally, I arrived back home and on the television is an hour long program of the Remember That Night DVD on VH1 classic followed by The Wall movie! Today was a bunch of Floyd day.
