I just realized that I do not have any books covering Pink Floyd.

After looking at Amazon.com I see I have some choices to make.

What book is best to start with in terms of getting a great insight on Pink Floyd especially on their earlier days and beyond.

Thanks.

The most enjoyable read I have had so far....bar none is Nick Mason's book called "Inside out", a personal history of Pink Floyd.

I'd recommend that one also. I have the hardback version and it's a great read

I've a book by Phil Rose titled "Which One's Pink" - An Analysis of the Concept Albums of Roger Waters & Pink Floyd. I found it to be a interesting and very in-depth review.

From the back cover...
"Drawing on his extensive discussions with Roger Waters, Rose gives attention to lyrics, album covers, and the musical details of each albums conceptual translation. Amoung the recordings discussed are "The Dark Side of the Moon", "Wish You Were Here", "Animals", "The Wall", and "The Final Cut".

Note: Royalties are donated to "The World Memorial Fund For Disaster Relief".
Do you think she's good enough?

An interesting read is 'The Rough Guide to Pink Floyd' - by the same people who do the rough guide travel books.

I'm actually reading The Rough Guide right now. Very interesting and detailed book. Probably not as detailed as something Nick Mason put out, but this book explains the history of each of the band members as well as meanings of songs. Definitly worth the read.
Mortal is man, eternal is The Floyd.
***************************************************************************
Mark G
