Just in case you don't know [although i'm sure you all do]

The Dark Side Of The Moon synch's up rather nicely with the first 40 minutes or so of The Wizard Of Oz (if i recall correctly you've got to start the album at the 3rd lion roar on the MGM logo).

The track "Echoes" fits in rather nicely with the "Jupiter" (last) chapter of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I've got both videos synched up on my computer and i plan to upload them onto the net (googlevideo probably), but before i do anyone who's seen them got any comments?

i thik it's fairly safe to say the Dark Side synch was unintentional - some people believe the band had the film in the studio when they recorded the album. As for the Echoes synch, it's uncanny yet seems to also be entirely coincidental.

I for one, think the Echoes sycnh works better.

There is a site full of other film synchs with Floyd music, but most of it seems utter cobblers if you ask me.  :-

Ah, but what about those in good ol' Blighty who have the PAL system which runs 4% faster than NTSC.

The 2001:echoes PAL synch has some decent moments (one is very nice indeed with an exploding star just as the funky jam kicks in) but the NTSC version widely available on youtube is better. - beware of those who have hacked the film to fit.
The Wizard of Oz/DSOTM just does not work IMHO.

wonder why there are nearly 300 members and only a few bother to join the forum, the answers there in black and white, if someone wants to make a comment,trying to get involved ,dont take the piss, there may be some floyd experts out there but not everyone is as clued up as you are,get back to your train set.
