Hi to all the forum and fans who browse, after visiting the site for many months now its apparent that there is a wide diversity of Pink Floyd and Aussie Floyd fans, on occasions new members mention facts which are old hat or widely known by a lot of the other members ie the 50th birthday, I,ll leave that there, so I thought that there must be a vast wealth of Floyd knowledge out there, things that you know, facts, tit bits etc that you could share with all fans, someone somewhere will be interested in it. Under the title Did you know? together we could post our facts, tit bits about PF and AF,personally I know very little about them apart from their music, I would love to hear and learn more about their history, personalities, stories, legends,I hope that the more senior, wisened and younger members will take up on this and pass on their wealth of Floyd knowledge to all. As stated even if you think everyone knows the fact im sure theres always some who do not.cheers.

Hi Canbera and welcome to the forum.

There have been a few quiz type threads on here in the past, the one below in particular is quite good from a PF trivia point of view

Perhaps you'd like to set the ball rolling with a question of your own ?

Cheers

Cheers Ian, I got a T shirt from an official Floyd merchandiser on the back at the top it says First in space, Ive heard this maybe because they used some floyd music to transmit into space,is this true?

In 1998 a cassette of the album ' A Delicate Sound Of Thunder' was taken by the crew of Soyuz 7 to be played on board the MIR space Station. Gilmour & Mason were at the launch.
Are we nearly there yet?

Did you know that the Australian Pink Floyd played at David Gilmour's 50th birthday party?
Be very very careful what you put into that head, because you will never ever get it out. Thomas Cardinal Wolsey (1471-1530)
