I've only been to the O2 once, and I recall searched bags as you entered and stewards even escorting people out if they were caught with their mobiles / cameras out during the show. Mind you that was last September when the whole venue was pretty new.

Have they relaxed a bit at all? Would you risk taking your camera?

Nottingham Arena is the same, they search you and if they find a camera or even a mobile they will take it off you or tell you to turn the mobile off, cameras end up in a locker room. If you get caught using a camera they shine very bright torches at you . They even took a girls medication off her out of her hand bag because they were tablets, how petty and stupid is that These searches are at EVERY concert, no matter who the artist is.

Liverpool Echo Arena is a breeze, no searching or hindrance, just every one being allowed to enjoy themselves. ;D

That's because they wouldn't dare, they value their lives too much (or their genitals, take your pick) ;D
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is mystery, today is a gift thats why it is called present...

s56.photobucket.com/albums/g163/mommapin...PFS%20Dudley%202007/

I saw the Eagles twice last month at the O2, they were searching bags at both events, but it seemed only for liquids and maybe large cameras. I took in a compact camera and used it in sight of the stewards. I never use a flash mind you, so don't draw attention to myself?

it was the same at Liverpool Arena. However, once inside they were ok, cameras were the least of their worries....

Happy to say the O2 stewards have turned human and they don't really hassle you now.

They do still search bags on entry, but I checked their sign of "banned objects" and it says No Professional Photographic Equipment allowed (or similar words).

On Monday my daughter Caroline did the photos and I just relaxed to enjoy the show - Honestly I enjoyed it all the better for that.
