Iv just read this on brain-damage.co.uk

Roger Waters is one of the artists lined up to perform at Cries From The Heart, a charity event being held on Sunday, June 8th. Organised by Human Rights Watch, the annual event is now in its sixth year. Performers read poetry, prose, reportage and testimonies gathered by Human Rights Watch researchers from victims and survivors of the abuse.

This year's show, being held at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London, promises a powerful evening of words and music. This year they "give voice to people from around the world who face tyranny – personal or political – in their daily lives". In addition to Roger, performers include George Alagiah, Claire Bloom, Simon Callow, Julie Christie, Joanna Lumley, Ian McKellen, Joe Mydell, Antony Sher (co-patron), Patti Smith, Juliet Stevenson, Patrick Stewart, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Rudolph Walker and Richard Wilson.

According to showbizspy.com, Roger will be taking the stage with his son, Harry, who will be playing the piano to accompany his father.

The show is scheduled to start at 7pm and tickets are now available via www.criesfromtheheart.co.uk.
