TOPIC: Roger Waters tix sales?

Roger Waters tix sales? 2 years, 1 month ago #1

Ok I'm sure this is a rudundent question but does anyone have an inkling when shows are to go on sale thru ticketbastard?  I did sign up (along with every broker out there) for presale passwords but not holding my breath.  The reason I bring this question up is cuz about this time last year, to my amazement, Metallica tix went on sale for a Nov show here in Vegas.  Very surprised to see a show sell tix 6 to 7 months in advance.  I also see that U2 did the same.  Its as if promoters want to get early jump on this lackluster market just to cover their arse.  In my opinion, most acts come and go by October so why not hype a show AFTER the Johnny Come Latelys?  Roger should command one of the highly anticipated acts of the year so why promote it so early?  Maybe just jumping the gun and tix sales are a way off but if cities are announced than I predict starting sales within a couple weeks.  Also just a thought but will the DSOTHM tour DVD be released soon to hype current tour??

The show that are actually listed on the Ticketmaster website are Long Island NY, Columbus OH and East Rutherford NJ. According to them the presale for the first two starts on the 3rd of May, for the last one on the 10th of May. The other dates will be there shortly I guess.

Did you see the prices? Listed between $55-$250. $55 is decent but I guess you'll be somewhere in the third ring. But what do you get for $250? Ol' Roger comes to give you a personal workshop in brick building?
He's not a very nice pig, but he's a BIG pig!!

Rogers last trek thru Vegas tix were surprisingly kept in check.  I think top price I paid $175 per which is cheap for out here.  If memory serves i think The Police were charging upwards of $300 per.  The MGM Grand, when it comes to top acts (Fleetwood, Eagles, Buffet etc) tend to stick it to us but we pay it anyway while they hold back the premium seats to comp out at later times.  A few hundred grand lost at the tables might warrent a pair in the first 5 rows eh?
