Just out of curiosity...Does each venue booked for RW shows have to meet the required technical standards for Roger and all his visions of granduer?  What I mean to say is that will older venues booked not live up to the state of the art theatrics that Waters really intends for the modern age?  I've read some of his stage production skematics and it seems as if the venue itself does have the potential to handle his production than perhaps certain shows might suffer from its full effects.  Just curious.....

This is the product of negotiation between the Artist's people and the venues.  The shows would not be booked unless the parties agreed that the venue's technical specs are sufficient.  The venue can meet the specs in two ways -- (1) by having the required equipment or (2) disclosing any deficiencies and having the Artist's reps agree to the show despite them.  My guess is that with minor exceptions, all of the venues booked can accomodate most Roger's gear

I believe that the Aussies have run into this problem in their N. American tours -- certain venues have been too small to accomodate the Aussie's stage and lighting rig in its entirety.  They just set up what they can and run with it. 

Thanks..I know The Aussies have been limited with stage production both at the old Joint as well as The House of Blues.  Now if u had your preference of seeing RW at either The Honda Center or Staples which would it be?  I'm sure there must be some disimilaraties as for as state of the art tech.

I've never been to Honda Center.  I heard the sound at the Aussie show there was horrific -- but the venue was downsized with the upper decks roped off, so the absence of bodies may have had an impact.  I've seen many shows at Staples and the sound is adequate.  So that's where I'm going -- at least December 5 and perhaps other dates
